US officials told Axios and other news outlets that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called US President Donald Trump twice yesterday, Thursday, appealing to him for help and asking him to assist in launching strikes against Yemen.

However, Trump rejected bin Salman’s request, according to the US officials, amid the collapse and retreat of the Saudi militias in Yemen. The losses suffered by Saudi forces are mounting as the Yemeni Armed Forces advance and make gains on various fronts.
