Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said that Saudi Arabia opposes the arrangement reached between the United States and Iran under which Iran would assume responsibility for managing the Strait of Hormuz.

Bin Farhan stated that conditions in the Strait of Hormuz had been better before the war.

The remarks were made during a discussion session on the evening of Wednesday, 17 June, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) held in Vienna.
