Manama: Saudi Arabia and Gulf States Hold Talks with the United States Following the Security Protection Setback

Oryx Observer

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Manama on Tuesday night to participate in the Gulf–US ministerial meeting.

The meeting is set to discuss:

▪️ The perceived failure of US security protection for Gulf states, with recent events cited as evidence that American military bases do not provide effective protection for these countries.

▪️ Reported US demands for four Gulf states to pay $300 billion to Iran in compensation related to the war. While Donald Trump has sought to deny the reports, it is alleged that US authorities conveyed the demands directly to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
