Canadian executive John Pagano, chief executive of Red Sea Global, said that Mohammed bin Salman had asked him to rescue the struggling Sindalah Island project in Tabuk.

The Saudi Crown Prince announced the launch of construction work on the Sindalah resort project, part of NEOM, on 5 December 2022, with an opening scheduled for early 2024. However, that has yet to materialise.
