Urban Company, the India-based global home-services platform, has announced the closure of its Riyadh office and its withdrawal from the Saudi market, citing the economic difficulties affecting the country.

The company, which provides a wide range of household services, entered Saudi Arabia in 2021 amid a high-profile campaign aimed at attracting foreign investment.

However, after establishing operations in the Kingdom, the company reportedly encountered conditions that differed from the expectations created by the investment drive, ultimately leading to its decision to leave the market.
