Official Ukrainian media have reported that Saudi Arabia is engaged in serious negotiations to purchase Ukrainian-made air defence systems capable of intercepting Iranian drones and missiles, following the apparent failure of advanced American air defence systems deployed in the Kingdom to perform this task.

According to Ukrainian state media, Saudi Arabia has submitted an urgent request to purchase:

▪️ Interceptor drones believed to be capable of intercepting Iranian “Shahed” drones.

▪️ Electronic warfare systems believed to be capable of disrupting communication links between drones and their operators.

▪️ Air defence missiles intended to address the evident shortcomings in the American Patriot and THAAD systems.
