Amnesty International said in a 23-page report that 19 Filipino domestic workers were subjected to sexual assaults in Riyadh. The organisation documented their experiences, with the report highlighting the following:
- Sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape
- Working 18 hours a day
- Being prevented from leaving the house
- Being prevented from communicating with family and friends
- Living in accommodation unfit for human habitation
- Deprivation of adequate food
- Degrading and humiliating treatment
- Physical violence and assault through beatings
- Non-payment of wages
