US media platforms, citing informed sources, have reported that preparations are underway for an American project to replicate Iran’s advanced “Shahed” drone. The manufacturing facility is allegedly being established near or within the US military base in Al-Kharj, south of Riyadh.
The American firm “Vector” is reportedly participating in the venture alongside the Saudi government. Dubbed “Project SR2Vector”, the initiative is said to be headed by Lucien Zeigler.
According to preliminary details, the factory will be tasked with reverse-engineering the Iranian “Shahed” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), with the finished products destined for distribution to US allies upon request.
