Saudi Mabahith authorities have arrested 29-year-old nurse Amjad Ali Bhat from his workplace at Response Plus Medical, a UAE-based company with a branch in Dammam.

The arrest, which took place on 25 March, reportedly stemmed from an image he shared on his personal Facebook account of Imam Khamenei. The post did not include any caption beyond the text already embedded in the image.

His family stated that they have contacted the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, calling for clarification regarding his whereabouts and for him to be granted his rights under international law. They expressed concern over his enforced disappearance and the fact that he has not been allowed to communicate with his family to date.
