University of New Haven Professors: No to Saudi Arabia

Professors at the University of New Haven in the United States are opposing a plan to open a branch campus in Riyadh, following an investment proposal linked to the Saudi government. They argue that Saudi Arabia’s poor reputation could damage the university’s standing and negatively affect the quality of education.

Among those opposing the plan are:

▪️ Amy Baker – Chair of the Faculty Senate.

▪️ Travis McCready – Expert and adviser on higher education affairs.

▪️ Annalisa Pavan – Researcher specialising in higher education in the Gulf states.

▪️ Nathan Seifert – Professor of Chemistry.

▪️ Lauren Slingluff – Former university librarian.
