Starting next Wednesday, 26 August, Saudi Arabia will implement a decision it took last February banning vehicles registered in Gulf countries from remaining in Saudi Arabia for more than 90 days per year.

The Saudi decision is part of a package of stringent measures restricting trade and movement between the peoples of the Gulf.

The timing of the decision coincides with strained relations with the UAE, which has for many years been known for exporting used cars to Saudi Arabia.
