Musaed Al-Aiban said, via his official website, “saudimarsad.org”, that Bin Salman’s government had succeeded in blocking 154 opposition platforms on social media.
Al-Aiban serves as head of the National Cybersecurity Authority, a member of the Council of Ministers, a member of the Council of Political and Security Affairs, and an adviser to Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi government has described the successive blocking operations it carries out against opposition accounts as “successes”.
According to notices published on the government website, the allegations levelled against the blocked accounts include:
▪️ Opposition to the Crown Prince.
▪️ Opposition to Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that among the duties assigned to Al-Aiban is the electronic surveillance of all Saudi citizens inside and outside the country, as well as hacking their online accounts using Israeli systems and technologies.
