The Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, through the Public Investment Fund, has submitted a request to the Export-Import Bank of the United States for a loan amounting to 15 billion dollars.
The stated reason for requesting the loan is to purchase American products and goods.
It is worth noting that Trump imposed on Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries the payment of the cost of the Hormuz battle. After having initially imposed a 20% payment on every ship crossing Hormuz, he later changed policy to force them to purchase goods and products from the United States to support his battle in Hormuz, which is currently being implemented.
