The US Chamber of Commerce, in a 114-page report, highlighted the names of American companies that have generated substantial revenues from Saudi Arabia after securing contracts linked to Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 projects.

The report lists 50 companies—each representing a different sector—as examples from more than 1,300 American companies operating in Saudi Arabia.

A review of the 50 companies named in the report found that all of them are connected, in one way or another, to Trump and his son-in-law, and are supportive of Israel.

The report is seen as reinforcing Trump’s position in the United States, where his popularity has been declining, by supporting his claim that he has succeeded in bringing money into the country from abroad. At the same time, however, it casts Mohammed bin Salman in an unfavourable light by portraying him as spending public funds lavishly while being unwilling to terminate contracts with American companies, even when projects are cancelled.

Despite the failure, suspension, or cancellation of most Vision 2030 projects, Saudi Arabia has reportedly refrained from terminating contracts with American companies, unlike its treatment of South Korean, Italian, and Malaysian firms. Instead, it has continued to honour contractual payments to those American companies even after projects were cancelled. The US report states that the United States continues to receive substantial sums of money from Saudi Arabia under these arrangements.
