Saudi comedian Nasser Al Qasabi has sold his home, which served as his principal residence in Dubai, and has relocated his place of residence to Riyadh.
Al Qasabi is known for his work as a comedian and for performing comedic roles in the television series Tash Ma Tash, entertaining Saudi audiences. Although he typically filmed the programme in Saudi Arabia, he lived permanently in Dubai, while his house in Riyadh served only as temporary accommodation during working periods.
His departure from Dubai cannot be viewed in isolation from the escalating tensions between Mohammed bin Zayed and Mohammed bin Salman in the region, amid reports that Saudi content creators who have made the UAE their permanent place of residence are being encouraged to leave.
Several Saudi YouTubers have published videos over the past two months about their departure from Dubai without disclosing the reasons.
