Oryx Observer

Detailed investigative findings conducted by social activists through their network of contacts within Aramco and facilities in Ras Tanura, and based on what they described as the careful collection of information, concluded that the Aramco helicopter was accidentally brought down by an air defence system believed to have been of Ukrainian, Pakistani or American origin.

According to the findings, the command centre responsible for the interception was located at the Fifth Air Defence Base in the city of Safwa, also known as Jawan Base and Safwa Air Base. The facility hosts Pakistani and American forces, in addition to Ukrainian technicians responsible for operating a drone interception system.

The incident resulted in the deaths of all 14 people on board the helicopter. According to the findings, no remains were recovered for half of the victims because the projectile that struck the aircraft contained highly destructive explosive material, while the remaining victims’ bodies were returned in small fragments.
